As homeschool moms, it’s safe to say we spend A LOT of time with our children. A large quantity of time spent, doesn’t necessarily mean it’s all quality time though. It’s so incredibly important that we spend little moments with each of our children individually from time to time. Getting to know who they are, what they are passionate about, and just simply enjoying their growing personalities. I love my children to the moon and back, but giving them my time for lessons and direction all day long can definitely wear me down.
The pure exhaustion and overwhelming nature of motherhood, can sometimes steal those quiet personal moments with your kids. I created these surveys to get some of that quality time back! Not only is this a fun way to connect and get to know your child on a more personal level, it can also be a quick stress reliever for Mom. Think about it, you get to sit and focus on this amazing little human you’ve been chosen to care for! With these surveys, will certainly come laughter, joy, and the occasional surprise!
Let’s talk favorites! We all have them. From drinks to movies, there is always one we prefer over all the others. My kids and I had a great time coming up with the questions for this (our very first) Kid Survey. I encourage you to download the free survey and spend some quality time with your children today. Learn, laugh, and enjoy a fun moment with your child.
Keep in mind, the survey is meant to go both ways! The parent gets to ask the child, and the child asks the parent. So much fun is to be had!! Who knows, you might even learn something new about your sweet kiddo. My 11 year old and I just completed this survey today. We had such a fun time! I got to talk to him about my favorite song and he shared all about his favorite historical figure. Things we learned about each other for the first time today. Plus, we can’t forget about our favorite minions (my husband deserves all the credit for this one making the list) haha! We all had a good laugh!

A little extra fun
Want to get even more out of your kid survey? Try some of these extra creative ideas to extend the fun!
Turn it into a memory page. Take and print of a picture of your child on the day they complete their survey, paste it on the back with the date and laminate! You can even add additonal things like their handprint, or a cute thing they said while you were working on the survey together. Make it personal and have fun with it!
Create a survey binder. This could be a super fun project! Hole punch today’s survey and put it in a small 3 ring binder. You can let your child get creative and make a fun binder cover page, adding illustrations to the back of their survey. Then add in additional surveys throughout the year as they get completed. You can even turn it into a family affair, adding dividers for each persons surveys! By the end of the year you and your children will have a fun survey book to look back on!
Repeat & compare. Date and save your child’s survey in a simple folder, repeating it 1 year later (close to the same date). Then, take some time to compare the answers to see what’s changed or stayed the same. Repeating year after year, could be a fun way to see how your children mature and grow! You might even have some fun laughs along the way with this option.
I look forward to sharing more surveys down the road, but in the mean time – I would love to connect with you! Let me know how you enjoyed this particular survey, if you would be interested in more, or have a specific topic you would like us to use for a future survey!! I encourage you to enjoy some simple quality family time together today.
