Homeschool Kids
and the Need for a Snack Station…

Super Simple DIY Snack Station For Homeschool Kids

As a homeschool mom of 3, I am all too familiar with the snacking habits of a homeschool kid! My kids would literally munch all day long if I would let them – thus the genius behind creating a homeschool snack station.

While our snack station has changed both location and method multiple times over the years, our new set up is my absolute favorite so far! Not only is it portable and easy to manage, it’s super cute!

How to Create Your Own
Homeschool Snack Station…

Ready to get started on creating your own homeschool snack station? You can find all the supplies we used to create ours below!

  • Bread Tray

This was such a fun buy! I absolutely love the rustic/farmhouse look and this fit in with my kitchen perfectly. The best part? I can easily move this tray from place to place. Sometimes it sits on our counter, other times it stays on the kitchen table.

  • Mason Jars

If you have been following me for a while, you probably already know I’m a little obsessed with mason jars. I use them for nearly everything in our home – mason jars are my go to snack storage option! Now for this particular project, I opted for a fancier look and am so pleased with how it turned out!

  • Wooden Bowls

When I was creating this snack station, I knew I wanted smaller portion controlled bowls for my kids to use. However, everything we currently owned was glass. Kids preparing their own snacks and traveling outside or to their desks with them in glass bowls? Not really something I was fond of. That’s why I was so happy to come across these guys! We try to eliminate plastic in our home as much as possible (especially when it comes to the kitchen).

  • Sticky Back Felt

This one is totally optional, you guys! I just happened to have some of this on hand and decided to add it to the bottom of our mason jars to keep the kids from scratching up my new bread tray. Worked like a charm too!
